A scooter which was gathering dust has kindly been donated to charity by one of our customers at the Oxford retail store.
The customer contacted Ability Matters to help with finding a suitable home for the donation. Our team then got in touch with Dogs for Good, a Banbury-based charity which trains assistance dogs for adults and children with disabilities. Each dog is specially trained to help with practical tasks that these individuals may find difficult or impossible to do, enabling them to have greater independence.
Knowing that this donation would be great for helping their dogs in training to acclimatise to being around electric scooters, Dogs for Good were over the moon to receive it. Sara Brady from the charity invited store managers Nicki and Andrew to have a tour of the training site whist the scooter was handed over.
Dogs for Good are celebrating 30 years of training invaluable assistance dogs this year, and we are grateful to have been able to play a part in supporting their work! Many thanks to our generous customer for the donation.
